INVITATION FOR BID

The City of Terre Haute, Department of Redevelopment will receive sealed bids for demolition, repair or site clearance of buildings and structures in the City of Terre Haute until 10:00 A.M. on 6/25/2026 in the Office of the Department of Redevelopment, Suite 201, 900 Wabash Avenue, Terre Haute, Indiana, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Contractors are to use the list and instructions in the bid packet available in Suite 201, 900 Wabash Avenue.

The work for which such proposals are invited consists of the removal of various types and sizes of buildings varying from one (1) or two (2) stories in height, together with miscellaneous work appurtenant and collateral thereto. The buildings are situated at various locations on parcels of land in the City of Terre Haute, Indiana.

Completion time of the work shall be 45 days after NOTICE TO PROCEED.

A check payable to the order of the City of Terre Haute, Department of Redevelopment, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in the amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the contractor's bid price of the cost of demolition shall be submitted with the Contractor's Bid.

The successful Bidder will be required to furnish, execute and deliver to the City of Terre Haute Department of Redevelopment, satisfactory performance guarantees to ensure the faithful performance of the contract and proof of liability insurance in accordance with page 4 and page 10 of the contract.

The City of Terre Haute Department of Redevelopment reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding.

The work to be performed under this contract is on a project assisted under a program providing direct federal financing assistance from the Department of Housing and Urban
Development.

Bids may be held by the City of Terre Haute, Department of Redevelopment for a period not to exceed Forty-Five (45) days from the date of the Opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of the Bidders, prior to awarding the contract.

BIDDERS MUST BID ON THE GARAGES AND BOARD, SEAL, AND CLEAN PROPERTIES IN ORDER TO HAVE THEIR BIDS CONSIDERED ON OTHER
PROPERTIES.

BIDDERS MUST BE ENROLLED IN THE E-VERIFY PROGRAM PURSUANT TO IC 22-5-1.7 IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO BE AWARDED CITY CONTRACTS.
