Notice is hereby given that Seth Recknor has filed with the Vermillion County Area Plan Commission Petition 2026-02 for a Change in Zoning from R-2 Single Family Residential to RR-Rural Residential to place a Temporary Recreational Vehicle Park on the following real estate located in Eugene Township, Vermillion County, Indiana, commonly known as 360-372 W Jackson Street, Cayuga, IN 47928

The Vermillion County Area Plan Commission will conduct a public hearing on this petition at 6:00 P.M. in the Commissioner's Courtroom, second floor of the Vermillion County Courthouse, Newport, Indiana, on the 11th day of June 2026. The Petition will then be forwarded to the Vermillion County Commissioners for action at their July 2nd meeting beginning at 6:00p.m. in the Commissioner's Courtroom, second floor of the Vermillion County Courthouse, Newport, Indiana.

The members of the Area Plan Commission have unanimously adopted a policy of limited communication. No person, firm, corporation, public employee or political body shall contact any member of the Area Plan Commission, or in writing, in advance of a public hearing on a case then pending for a decision by such Commission. Any person, firm, corporation, public employee or political body may appear in person, by agent or by attorney at the public hearing and submit evidence or present testimony germane to the issue in controversy where the opposing party is permitted to present rebuttal evidence and testimony.
Interested parties may voice an opinion at the above meetings and/or file written comments beforehand with the Area Plan Commission, P O Box 314, Newport, Indiana 47966. A copy of the proposal may be examined in the Zoning Office, on the second floor of the Courthouse in Newport.
