NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Upon Application for Determination
of an Economic Revitalization Area
and Adoption of a Preliminary (Declaratory) Resolution;
and Proposed Adoption of a Final (Confirmatory) Resolution
Notice is hereby given that the Vermillion County Council, at a meeting held on May 11, 2026, approved a Preliminary (Declaratory) Resolution, pursuant to Indiana Code 6-1.1-12.1, as amended, declaring certain real estate located in Clinton and Helt Townships in Vermillion County, Indiana (such real estate generally located between or adjacent to West County Road 850 South S and West County Road 1300 South and between or adjacent the Illinois State line and South County Road 125 West) as an Economic Revitalization Area for the purpose of granting ten (10) year real property and personal property tax deductions to Brouilletts Creek Solar, LLC in connection with its anticipated minimum investment of $412,000,000 in utility distributable property, real property improvements, and business personal property in Vermillion County. A specific depiction of the affected area and a copy of the Preliminary Resolution are available and can be inspected in the offices of the Auditor and Assessor of Vermillion County, Indiana.
Notice is further given that the Vermillion County Council has scheduled a public hearing on June 8, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. in the Vermillion County Courthouse, Commissioners' Courtroom, 2nd Floor, 255 South Main Street, Newport, Indiana 47966. All interested parties are welcome to attend and make their concerns, remonstrances or objections known to the members of the Council, before the Council takes final action.
At the conclusion of the public hearing, the Vermillion County Council may take final action on this designation, and the grant of real property and personal property tax deductions for Brouilletts Creek Solar, LLC, by adopting a Final (Confirmatory) Resolution.
